Printable Story Puppets
Posted in Uncategorized on 08/30/2010 06:21 pm by adminDecorating cookies is a simple and fun activity to involve children in a variety of ages. If you want to add some "Wow" factor cookies decorating, you may want to try these cookies puppets.
STEP ONE
Make cookie dough base, which is capable of being put into and cut up with knives.
STEP TWO
Lower dough to desired thickness (I recommend 1 / 4 inch)
STEP
Cut the dough into circles (one large cut bun works well for this).
You can also experiment with other forms if desired
STEP FOUR
Carefully insert pop sticks (ice block sticks of wood) on the side of each circle uncooked biscuits.
To do this, I recommend placing one hand high above the cookie dough to ensure the stick is not accidentally put through the top of the cookie that is rolling in mass.
FIFTH STAGE
Bake the cookies as normal (until they are pale gold)
STEP SIX
Complete icing color. You can stick with a color or colors of makeup for the selection of colors in the color and even more in the cookie of a puppet.
Step Seven
Decorate with assorted candies.
Some candies offered include:
- greedy
- jelly beans
- Smarties or similar
- Skittles candies and other small round
- Lolly snakes
- chocolate chips
- Liquorice Allsorts
- asparagus
- Sweet cupcake decoration
The greater the variety of sweets given all the imagination of creation will be. Look for candy that can be used for facial features and characteristics of animals and mythical creatures. You can also cut marshmallows to give a greater variety of shapes and sizes.
The finished products are limited only by imagination of those involved.
